Governor visits NICRA village in Gujarat

Her Excellency Dr. Kamla Benival, Governor of Gujarat visited Khuntli village where KVK, Valsad is implementing NICRA project. Others who accompanied her were Mr. Kishanbhai Patel, Member of Parliament, Mr. Jitubhai Chaudhary, Member of Legislative Assembly, District Collector, District Development Officer and officials of district line departments.  All the dignitaries participated in the Gram Sabha on 11^th September, 2013 and evinced keen interest in listening from the villagers about the progress of NICRA project.

Mr. Devubhai Jadhav, President of Village Climate Risk Management Committee (recipient of best performing VCRMC of Zone VI) presented to the dignitaries the project interventions and its outcomes.  Hon'ble Governor congratulated the villagers for coming together and helping themselves to cope with the challenges of climate variability.
